This book is called "Requiem for a dream" and it was inspired by the same titled movie by Darren Aronofsky. I've already written here about this movie - deep, strong, emotional, full of drugs, lost hopes and desperation. Great soundtrack by Clint Mansell and Kronos Quartet by the way.

Impressive movie, impressive pieces. Are those moth wings on the second one? Totally fits the atmosphere =) Just a little dig: I believe the book inspired the movie, not vice versa ;)
